After being ripped off my arm by a freezer door at work.
I wrote a post last year about buying the above watch and all of the 424syncs surrounding it. 424? "The last time (?) I was in
Target I bought a cheap watch and when I hopped in my car I checked to
see if they had it set to the right time and it was4:24 pm. Which I smiled about because that was my dad's old cab number 424 (he is still alive, so it wasn't a message from the dead), then I look up and the car parked in front of me had 424on it's plate, so I took the attached photo. How weird is that sync? "
I wrote that comment on a lot of Facebook closed groups on July 8th this year, with the accompanying photo.
And today I see the official birth time for the new royal baby is 4:24pm. "Prince William says he and his wife Catherine "could
not be happier" to welcome their first child, after the duchess gave
birth to a boy this morning. The baby boy, who is third in line to
the throne, was born at4:24pm London time (1:24am AEST) and weighed 8
pounds 6 ounces (3.8kg)." Prince William's wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, gives birth to boy
On Monday night my football team gets thumped with a scoreline of 42-4 Canterbury Bulldogs beat Cronulla Sharks 42-4 in NRL clash at Olympic Stadium and the next day at work my watch gets ripped off my arm by a freezer door I shut with my other arm and somehow freakishly managed to get caught on the wristband of my watch capitulating half of the wristband to God knows where? I couldn't find the other half after a good search. The watch is unwearable now and was so cheap as to be not worth fixing. So, it's time for me to by another watch. How time flies?-) P.S.I don't see this as a particularly good sign for me, by the way. I hope the loss of a watch and my football team getting thumped is as bad as it gets for me.
This is the bar (pictured above) I saw a dwarf/little person (whatever the PC term is now) make a fool out of me in front of my kids years ago when we saw Nancy Cartwright here. The tables have since changed, but the layout is still pretty much the same. I wrote about this bar and the astronomical odds of this happening in this old post of mine - "I took
my two boys to see Nancy Cartwright(voice of Bart Simpson) at the
Brisbane Concert Hall at Southbank, when Nancy toured Australia years
ago. We were waiting outside in the foyer for the doors to open, our backs
to a glass wall. There were about twenty bar tables scattered
throughout the foyer where you could rest your beer/wine glass and
snacks on.
The tables featured a round top attached to a pole and underneath was a
smaller round table about half way down where you could put your bag, I
guess? My youngest son, who was about 11 at the time, asked me what the
smaller table was for. I thought I would be funny and told him that it
was for dwarfs to rest their beer glasses on, as they were too short to
reach the real table top. This seemed to satisfy his curiosity and we
just continued to wait for the doors to open. About five minutes later(and I swear my son’s/sun’s lives on this), a
dwarf came along and placed a beer glass on the exact table my son had
pointed out, not on the little table underneath, but on top of the real
tabletop. I looked at my boys with pleading eyes not to say a word. I know people reading this comment will think that the little fellow
must have been around before I made the remark, but I can assure you
that wasn’t the case. The odds of this happening must be trillions to
one, as I hadn’t seen a dwarf in real life for about ten years at the
time, and I haven’t seen one since. Out of all the “coincidences” in my
life this one is my favourite." That post is linked here - Life's Too Short ... But Here's a Big Little Sync About It ;-)
The picture above was a piece of artwork hanging on the wall that I thought would make a good screen saver for my computer.

"The Sweet" 2014 version.
I found out when I left the last track(#13, Peppermint Twist)keep playing after about five, or six minutes ... maybe more, of silence, a bonus track comes on, which is not mentioned on the cover of the CD. One for Christmas time.
Great night and it really brought back some Sweet long forgotten childhood memories.
An artist's illustration of an 880-lb. (400 kg.) space rock just before it slammed into the moon onSept. 11, 2013to create the brightest lunar impact flash ever seen. The meteorite impact carved a crater in the lunar surface 131 feet (40 meters) wide.
"The March full moon will rise on Sunday night (March 16) in a brilliant
display that will allow Internet denizens to investigate the site of
the most brilliant lunar explosion in a free live webcast, weather
permitting.
This month's full moon — which officially turns full at 1:08 p.m. EDT
(1708 GMT) Sunday — is called the "Full Worm Moon." The seemingly odd
name comes from the appearance of earthworms as the ground softens after
winter thaws. The online Slooh community telescope website will use the
full moon event to examine an impact site in the Mare Nubium lunar
basin. The webcast begins at 9 p.m. EDT (0100 March 17 GMT). You can
view it directly through the Slooh website, or watch the full moon webcast live on Space.com.
The target of Sunday's Slooh lunar webcast is a region of Mare Nubium, where brightest asteroid strike on the moon ever seen was spotted last year. The asteroid was traveling at about 37,900 mph
(61,000 km/h) when it slammed into the moon, creating a crater about 131
feet wide (40 meters) on Sept. 11, 2013. Scientists announced the
discovery on Feb. 24 of this year." Full Moon Rises Sunday: Live Webcast Seeks Record-Breaking Lunar Crash Site
Dyeing of river kicks off St. Patrick's Day weekend.
^ Crowds watch as members of
the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local Union 130 pour green dye into the
Chicago River as part of the annual St. Patrick's Day festivities.
^Seeing the story of the green river in Chicago for St. Patrick's Day festivities which start this week and end on the 22nd reminded me of the Green Riveralbum which Fogerty himself performed in front of me a few years back at theByron Bay Bluesfest.
Considering all of the weirdness in the world right now, like the missing Malay Jet,
the trouble in the Ukraine and Middle East, things don't look real good in the immediate future.
Interesting syncs in the Chicago Tribune story on the St.Patrick's Day Parade.
Dyeing of river kicks off St. Patrick's Day weekend "I love the outfits," said Tracey Ward. "I'm people watching."Ward, 43, said she is in the
Chicago area for work until September and that the St. Patrick's Day
parade is one of the experiences she wanted to have before she left."
Burt Wardwas probably the most famous of the actors to play Robin.
"It's really great," said Lidan Zhang, standing in the sun near a
parade barricade. "After a really terrible winter, today is really
nice." Zhang said she came to the parade, in part, to show her mother who is visiting from Beijing the Chicago tradition." Most of the passengers on the missing Malay jet were Chinese and the jet was supposed to land in Beijing.
Also the logo on the jet is meant to represent a kite, so it makes you wonder just who is pulling the strings in this really bizarre story;-) " Nearby, Willie Winters and Kourtney Elam, who live on the Northwest Side, leaned against a fence talking. Winters, 28, said despite living nearby he had never seen the parade before (Eyes Wide Shut?)

" Elamwas an ancient civilization centered in the far west and southwest of modern-day Iran, stretching from the lowlands of what is now Khuzestan and Ilam Province, as well as a small part of southern Iraq. The modern name Elam is a transcription from Biblical Hebrew, corresponding to the Sumerianelam(a), the Akkadianelamtu, and the Elamite haltamti. Elamitestates were among the leading political forces of the ancient near east." Elam

"The Northwest Side Irish Parade is also at noon Sunday; it begins at
William J. Onahan School at 6634 W. Raven Street, heads east on Raven to
Neola Avenue, then southwest on Neola to Northwest Highway, where it
heads northwest to Harlem Avenue.
Well, I hope St. Patrick can do something about all the snakes in Australia, because this moon phase has produced some bizarre snake attacks Down-Under.
