Joseph Conrad Passed Away 100 Years Ago This Year?✍🖤💘

I only realized after reading Joseph Conrad's novel 'Heart of Darkness' and watching 'Apocalypse Now' and the doco about the making of the movie called 'Hearts of Darkness', that Conrad died 100 years ago this year.

(3 December 1857 – 3 August 1924)

To put this into perspective, the former POTUS Jimmy Carter was born the year Conrad died.

The 3 books of Conrad's I were told to read ... before I die, were 'Heart of Darkness', 'Nostromo' and 'The Secret Agent'.

I did read 'Heart of Darkness', but couldn't be bothered to read 'Nostromo' or 'The Secret Agent', although I did watch the BBC TV series and the 1996 movie based on that book recently, and like the movie version better.

I have since donated my copy of 'Heart of Darkness' to a street library when it was dark ironically.
