The author of Sync is the guy in the yellow shirt in the clip above, and giving the lecture below.
I saw The Big Electron clip over at the Dedroidify blog -
Melodysheep: Bill Hicks + George Carlin: The Big Electron
which features two of my favourite comedians, Bill Hicks and
George Carlin.
Funny thing is I'm currently reading chapter 5 of the book Sync.
It's called Quantum Choruses and is about how electrons sync in pairs in superconductivity.
"These paired electrons spontaneously form a Bose-Einstein condensate, a synchronized ensemble that encounters no resistance as it carries electrical current through a metal."
"National Institute of Standards and Technology researchers have observed for the first time the Hall effect in a gas of ultra-cold atoms.
The Hall effect is an important interaction of magnetic fields and electric current more commonly associated with metals and semiconductors.
Variations on the Hall effect are used throughout engineering and physics with applications ranging from automobile ignition systems to fundamental measures of electricity.
The new discovery could help scientists learn more about the physics of quantum phenomena such as super-fluidity and the quantum Hall effect "

OK, this is stuff I don't know about. I'm off to watch the video. Quantum physics is intrinsic to synchronicity. Your mind, Daz, is a wondrous labyrinth that doesn't belong at IKEA, or anything like it.
