The unidentified prankster created a profile called "Just Jeans" with the retailer's logo and conversed with users on the clothing retailer's Facebook page, Fairfax Digital reports.
One customer was told their comment was "so last year" while others were directed to an online "voucher" which reportedly directed them to a photo of ex-AFL player Ben Cousins that Fairfax described as "offensive".
Another customer who logged on to post a positive message about the retailer's customer service was told one staff member had
"filed a
complaint" against her.
Some users vented their anger at the prank posts, with one complaining of her "rude" and "appalling" treatment.
Just Jeans has since apologised and said it is investigating the posts.
''We're sorry for any upset that has been caused, we are doing everything we can to address the matter as soon as possible,'' the retailed said in a statement.
Just Jeans is not the first victim of a Facebook hoaxer masquerading as a business.
