The TV show ends in the year 1989, the Year of the Snake and literally ends (fingers crossed) in 2025, the Year of the Snake?

I finished watching 'Stranger Things' last night and couldn't help wondering if the makers of this show knew that 1989 and 2025 were the Years of the Snake?

on December 13th, 1989

And looking at that screen shot above with the Iron Maiden lyrics of the song in the subtitles reading "The smell of acrid smoke and horse's breath" reminded me that the Year of the Horse follows the Year of the Snake.

I seem to recall two towers coming down in 2001.
