Buddy Guy Has a Starring Role in Sinners? 🎥🎸🎬

When I saw the trailer to 'Sinners' last year before a few cinema screenings of movies that I thought were worth watching at the cinema, this trailer bored me to death, and I vowed that I wouldn't be going to the cinema to watch this movie.
I thought I might watch it when it hit a steaming service that I was subscribed to at the time.
Then my son told me had seen it at the cinema and it was just like 'From Dusk Till Dawn' to him.
And I hate that movie, so that put me off seeing 'Sinners' even more.
When I saw it was on HBO, which I had just subscribed to, I wondered if I should bother watching 'Sinners', since it wasn't going to cost me anything but my time?
Then I heard Gordon White on an Aeon Byte podcast/You Tube recommend watching it, although most of everything he said apart from that on the podcast was just conspiracy crap and his own BS beliefs.
I mentioned that podcast episode that Gordon was on in this recent post -
How to Celebrate January 10th, 2026?🍉🥳🎉🦪
But he was right about watching 'Sinners'.
I thought it was a good movie ... but not a great movie.
Although, I don't see any movies that I have seen nominated in this year's Oscars that are great movies anyway.
I had already seen the new 'Naked Gun' movie, and Gordon was right about that recommendation, as well, I thought.
Surrendering to Synchronicities?💻🙇🙅
Buddy Guy on stage at Bluesfest 2012
The thing that blew my mind the most when I saw
'Sinners' was seeing that Buddy Guy was in it.
I had to check the credits to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, but the first shot I saw of him in the movie, I yelled out "hey, that's Buddy Guy"!
Buddy Guy is one of the best musicians I have ever had the privilege to see play live over the years at the Byron Bay Bluesfest.
And I see this year in July Buddy will be turning 90!?
I saw him first play in 2012 when he was 75 years old, as I wrote in this 2012 post -
Easter SUNday at Bluesfest ... and a Plate of Shrimp
