Everything You Always Wanted to Know About The Afterlife* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)?🪦👻 🕳🐇🐰

I stumbled upon the 'Ghost Bunny' podcast while doing an Apple Podcast search for "synchronicity" and the two episodes featuring A.J. Barrera came up in the search.
I first discovered Bridget Marquardt's Ghost Magnet podcast when she was interviewed by the now late Howard Hughes on his 'The Unexplained' podcast -
GHOST MAGNET with Bridget Marquardt?
I didn't realize that Bridget had now rebranded her show as the 'Ghost Bunny' until doing that Apple Podcast search recently.
Not that I'm really into those types of shows, even though I very much do believe in ghosts.
These three You Tubes above did capture my attention for various reasons.
I had not heard of A.J. Barrera before listening to the two podcasts in the two You Tubes right at the top of this post.
The only "psychic/medium" I have seen perform live, was John Edward, who I wrote about seeing in this post -
I flew into LA from Portland in March last year and we checked into the Hollywood Roosevelt, not because it was rumoured to be haunted, but my son wanted to take in the history of the hotel (he paid for all our accommodations on the trip).
We stayed there for two nights before flying back to Australia.
And it mainly rained those days we were in LA.
We left on Wednesday for Australia, just when the rain seemed to be easing.
I felt like a bit of an imposter staying a swish hotel like this.
It's easy to be tempted into living it up for a night or two.
But I had bought my own drinks in Portland and put them in the hotel room's fridge:-)
"Errol Flynn is rumored to have created his recipe for bootleg gin in a tub in the hotel's barbershop."
"Character actress Clara Blandick died by suicide in the hotel in 1962.
In 1939, Blandick landed her most memorable minor role – Aunt Em in MGM's classic The Wizard of Oz."
A Judy Garland framed photo

hotel room wall
"Throughout the years, there have been rumors of hauntings and ghosts at the hotel. Some involve celebrities who previously stayed at the hotel, such as Marilyn Monroe, Montgomery Clift, and Errol Flynn. Others involve a little girl in a blue dress named Caroline. There have also been reports of cold spots, photographic "orbs", and mysterious phone calls to the hotel operator."
When I had heard about the Hollywood Roosevelt being haunted by Marilyn Monroe, I thought to myself wouldn't it be cool if I go to take a shower and then see Marilyn taking a bath?-)
And then I thought about the scene out of 'The Shining' in room 237, and thought, no skip that:-)
But to
LEVEL with you, I didn't see or feel any ghosts in the
Hollywood Roosevelt during my two-night stay, not that I was looking for them, either.
The only spirits I saw in the room were the overpriced ones sitting on a tray in the corner, while I drank my Portland beers:-)
The scariest things I saw while staying in the hotel was a long live police chase through LA on the hotel TV, while my son was out skateboarding around town.
A framed photo on our hotel room wall
And a headless pigeon in the gutter outside the hotel on my last day in LA.
I'm not saying that the hotel is not haunted, as it most probably is, I'm just saying that like crime in LA, I didn't witness any in my stay, and nor did I go looking for any, while I was there ... barring me wishing to see a naked Marilyn taking a bath in my hotel room:-)
Although, the murdered pigeon is technically a crime I guess, though I didn't witness who or what killed it, I just saw the aftermath.
Just like overpriced bottled water waiting for you on your hotel bedside table, I'm not naive when it comes to paranormal activity ... or overpriced bottled water.
I try not to get sucked in by the moment and keep a cool head when making my decisions.
When it comes down to water, beer or spirits, it's sink or swim, I guess:-)
Seat F-8 (Fate)?
The creepiest moment I had in
LA was sitting in one of the Chinese Theater cinemas watching the Osgood Perkins' movie 'The Monkey' with my son and me being the only ones in the cinema.
The Substance and the Five-Pointed Star?⭐🥚🌟🌠🤩🎬
And the only messages we received in the hotel were from our Panda Express fortune cookies.
This post is going to have to be continued in a part 2, as I still want to write a fair bit about the subjects discussed in the third and more recent You Tube/podcast featuring the stage magician turned unbelieving ghost tour guide.
I will link it here when I finish writing that post up -
