I must admit that I was never a fan of the first 'Beetlejuice' until I watched it right through before seeing the second movie, which to me is a much better movie than the original.

But one thing I still don't get was why Harry's Day-o (Banana Boat Song) is in the Beetlejuice Movie/s?

I'm a big fan of Jimmy's music, but 'MacArthur Park' is one of those songs of his that I'm not really a fan, but having been married in 1988 (the Year of the Dragon) the year the first movie came out and watching the second movie in 2024 (the Year of the Dragon) as I turned 60 and am expecting my first grandchild at the end of this month (a granddaughter), I have a different spin on the song now, vowing never to marry again in this life:-)

To be honest, I probably wouldn't have gone to see Francis Ford Coppola's movie 'Megalopolis' if I hadn't have listened to the latest 'ChillPak Hollywood Hour' podcast, where Phil and Dean seem to praise the movie.

I haven't made up my mind yet whether I like it or not, as I would have to maybe see it another 3 times to take it all in from the fable angle.

I don't know how much Francis will get back from my $9:-P

There's a lot to unpack.

But I didn't hate it.

I was the only person in the cinema for that session, so it felt like a private screening:-)

We don't officially celebrate Halloween in Australia, as I seem to say every year, but the $upermarket$ sure do.

They even have Caramello Koala packs on sale just for the American season of Halloween here in Australia. 

The koalas look like they have just survived being mowed down as road kill:-)

These chocolate koalas seem to get smaller every time I buy them:-)

And there sure doesn't seem to be as much caramel inside them anymore?

I can't figure out if the makers of this treat are trying to trick me, as far as my childhood memories go of eating these treats?

They may be smaller, but they can still be sickening if you eat too many of them at once:-P

I went to the cinema today (well, I went to get a tattoo, but had to make a booking to get it done on another day) and saw 'Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice' again, as well as 'Megalopolis'.

The Good Mourning Podcast is Back and on September 6th?🎤👻🦋

The first time I saw 'Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice'

And I saw a poster for a movie called 'Rippy's Gone Rogue', which is obviously a piss take coming out for Halloween on the much beloved (by me anyway) 'Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'.

Personally, I'd like to see the movie 'Skippy vs Rippy' where Sonny and Skip have to outsmart Rippy in the bush:-)
