8-Ball Keyring and Yin/Yang golf marker (I don't play golf BTW). |
Well, The SYNC Book has been like reading The Book of Revelation to me ... but I mean in a good way ... not an "end of the world" kind of way.
One author, Andras Jones, who has a chapter in it called Radio8Ball, named the chapter after his radio show and web-site Radio8-Ball.The radio show aired on KAOS 89.3 in Olympia, Washington State and at the moment is taking a long break, but you can hear podcasts of the show at his web-site, http://www.radio8ball.com/
He is a movie actor who has had roles in
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 and The Attic Expeditions.
He was/is(?) also in a band called The Previous.
He also does Radio 8-Ball stage shows ... one of which you can see here starring Seth Green
(no relation to The SYNC Book editor Alan Abbadessa Green),

Alan is going to be doing a similar show in New York on the 31st of this month involving 9 SYNC Book authors,
I love the concept of a radio oracle ... although I don't know if the universe, or whatever the force producing song syncs, will give out answers every-time you ask for one.
But it doesn't hurt to try.
I had my biggest song sync when I was burying my cat Sylvester (across the road from a Buddhist Temple, of all places), who I wrote about here,
My Cat Sylvester ( R.I P.) and Memories (CATS) of the Future and the Past?
I also own an 8-Ball key-ring, which I got for t-shirts sold with my custOMER designs on them, for this place in Sydney.

The "God doesn't play dice" design at the bottom of my sidebar was made at REMO, and I took the design over to Zazzle and put it on a cup, but they wouldn't let me sell it because of Albert's photo, saying it might infringe copyright.
So, I just put it out there on the net and let anyone copy it if they want to ... go for it ... take it to Zazzle, Cafe Press, whatever and make your own cup, t-shirt, mouse pad, whatever.
They'll let you make one for yourself, they just won't let you sell them to others for profit.
Anyway, go over to Radio 8-Ball and check it out for yourself.
This is what it says on the homepage about the oracle;
"Radio8Ball: The Pop Oracle is a musical divination format where questions are answered by picking songs at random and interpreting the randomly chosen song as the answer to the question, like picking musical tarot cards.
Give us a shake!
1. Click on "RADIO" and type your question in the box provided.
2. Each song corresponds with a tarot card.
3. Click on the song title to reveal information about the card and the song.
Listen well synchronicity surfer."

Who knows?
It might unlock some key answers for you.
Maybe that's why my 8-ball pictured below is called a key-ring?-)
