(The God Number?) would come to my attention.
From the movie Dragon AA2623? |
In the above scene from the movie Dragon the Chinese movie producers chase after Bruce as he leaves on the Hong Kong
"North Star" ferry to head back eventually to The States.
The number plate on the car reads AA2623.
AA could be a reference to Aleister Crowley's Silver Star order and 26 to God/Order and 23 to Chaos???
Bruce played Kato in The Green Hornet TV show. |
Bruce's only real success up to this point was playing Kato in
The Green Hornet, that ran for only ... wait for it ... 26 episodes, before being cancelled, according to the movie Dragon.

"Batman's Satisfaction".
It was due in part to Bruce Lee's portrayal of this character that martial arts became popular in the United States in the 1960s
In this version, he also used green sleeve darts as a ranged attack for situations in which hand-to-hand combat was either impossible or too risky.
In a crossover episode of Batman from the same time and companies, Kato had a battle with Robin that ended in a draw (the same thing happened simultaneously with their senior partners).
The impression Lee made at the time is demonstrated by one of the TV series tie-in coloring books produced by "Watkins & Strathmore."
It is titled, Kato's Revenge Featuring the Green Hornet.

The Green Hornet's success in Hong Kong, where it was popularly known as The Kato Show, led to Lee starring in the feature films that would make him a pop culture icon."
Van Williams, who played The Green Hornet next to Bruce Lee, as Kato, was born on the 27th Feb, 1934 (or 2/27 ... since Jake Kotze has a post on "The Sync Whole" titled 227 at the moment;-)
Van also made a cameo as a stunt co-ordinater on the set of
The Green Hornet TV show in the movie Dragon, who walks Bruce through a fight scene that is about to be filmed.
Van Williams is 77 years old at the present moment.

Number-plate AH7743 (7, 7, 4+3=7 or 777?) |
And another Blogger named Mercury's Messenger who has contributed a chapter to The SYNC Book came to mind when I saw the silver Mercedes Bruce drove into his Hong Kong address in the movie.
It had a number-plate with the number 7743 (7, 7, 4+3 =7).
Chris even has a son born on 23/9/04, which was the date of my 40th birthday.
In Australia we often shorten the name of the car to Merc, so this could be a silver Merc (quicksilver?) containing a (AA) star of the silver screen (777).
Although, this probably sounds like nothing but old junk to some readers here;-)

ReplyDeleteBAM..... found it.... Sigmund Freud...

Yeah I just saw this last night... though of you.
Peace
23 September 1939.
DeleteWow! I didn't know this.
I respect Freud's work for laying important foundations, but Jung is my man in this area.
I dig it. His entry into movies is his initiation into the A.A., when he becomes a creator of reality and part of something larger than himself.
ReplyDelete"I tell you what to do. Take April on the town. Buy her nice clothes. Check into big hotel. Have lots of sex. Have food brought up to you in bed. Drink champagne and whiskey. Now money all gone. April be gone, too, like money. You come back to me. I put you in kitchen, wash dishes to pay back loan. By that time you're no longer young, you're no longer handsome. You're nothing but a... dishwasher. That one choice. There are others. [...] They say education is good. Hmm. l've heard that. Me, personally... I hope you go with April. I can always use a good... dishwasher!"
At the start of the movie we see Bruce attempt to bed April, but when he does so he must fight the other dishwashers, or the other elements of his own psyche. He is not yet in control of his energies and is thus divided against himself. The owner (?) of the restaurant tells him that he can continue to be a slave or go to school and seek Initiation into the mysteries of his future wife, the High Priestess.
