Episode 288: Brian Shipman
With 'Lost' and 'Twin Peaks' being two of my all-time favourite TV shows you have clicked a lot of pieces of my puzzle about those two shows together for me and like your namesake in 'Twin Peaks: The Return' you haven't got a clue what you were really doing and most of it flew right over your head.
We're all Dougies in many ways.
"In English the meaning of the name Dougie is: Dark water.
In the seventeenth century, this name was as popular for girls as for boys."
(/ˈdɒpəlˌɡɛŋər/ or /-ˌɡæŋər/; German: [ˈdɔpl̩ˌɡɛŋɐ] ( listen), literally "double-goer") is a look-alike or double of a living person, sometimes portrayed as a ghostly or paranormal phenomenon and usually seen as a harbinger of bad luck.
Other traditions and stories equate a doppelgänger with an evil twin.
In modern times, the term twin stranger is occasionally used.
The word "doppelgänger" is often used in a more general and neutral sense to describe any person who physically or behaviorally resembles another person."
"I urge you to dig.

"I urge you to dig.
Give in to the unknown for a while and ponder the mystery.
It’s worth it. – JJ. Abrams"
You may need to get out your s#it-digging shovel ... change the handle, or head ... and listen to your podcast a few more times for all the nuggets you went past without realizing it, Dug ... I mean Doug?
And thank you Mr.Jackpot once again for pointing me in the right direction:-)

Hi Darren,i came across this:
ReplyDeleteHow Missing Indiana Man's Family Found Him Alive 23 Years Later
http://abcnews.go.com/US/missing-indiana-mans-family-found-alive-23-years/story?id=43045972
Some quotes from the article.
For 23 years, Richard Hoagland’s wife and kids had no idea what happened to him after he disappeared on Feb. 10, 1993.
Their son Matthew was 9 years old at the time, and his brother Doug was just 6 years old.
It turns out, police said, he had been living as a man named Terry Symansky, who was a fisherman killed in a boating accident in 1991.
Considering your last couple of posts i thought you might find it interesting.
Considering Richard Hoagland but with the c in between your might find this interesting also.
