Some interesting theories in Chris Knowles' post and his talk with R.C. Hoagland I thought -

After listening to Chris on Hoagland's show and then reading about the opening ceremony of the 2018 World Cup in Russia where Aida Garifullina who was born in the same year as the supanova 1987A was discovered, rode in on a firebird and then sung with Robbie Williams to his song 'Angels' left me scratching my head and asking myself "coincidence?"
