Some fans pointed out it wasn’t just Siposs’ fault

Aussie punter Arryn Siposs had a nightmare moment during the Philadelphia Eagles’ loss to Kansas City in the Super Bowl on Monday.
Trailing by one point in the fourth quarter, former St Kilda player Siposs was called up to punt from the Eagles’ 32-yard line, but disaster struck.

The punt was shallow and only travelled 38 yards, dropping into the waiting hands of Kadarius Toney, who turned the game on its head with an incredible return.
Toney beat a number of Eagles players before eventually being pushed out of bounds – by Siposs – at the five-yard line for a 65-yard return.

“That return is all set up from a bad low line-drive punt by Arryn Siposs. 

The punter back from that injury,” commentator and former NFL star Greg Olsen said.
From there the Chiefs quickly scored to open up an eight-point lead.
While there a number of players at fault for missing tackles on Toney’s return, Siposs copped the brunt of criticism on social media.
Fans were quick to reference the punter’s former AFL club - St Kilda - which hasn’t won a premiership since 1966 and had heartbreaking losses in 2009 and 2010.
