Ellangowan and Fate?🏑

I saw a tragic news story about a singer I met years ago, who recently pulled a young woman from a burning car but couldn't save her life.
Sunday Night with Shannon Noll Shining On
And especially seeing the name Ellangowan in that news story, as that was the name on my Nan's house, and I never knew why that name was on her house.
She passed away in that house, and I wrote a post about that with a picture of me and my brothers standing in the front door of the house -
F8?
I tried looking up the name Ellangowan on the net, but the name that was on the house which is now gone is still a mystery to me.
It also states in that news story that Shannon and his family live in Casino, New South Wales now, which also struck a chord with me, as my father used to tell me that his best cab fare he ever had when driving cabs was taking a man from Brisbane to Casino.
I've only ever driven through Casino once in my life when I was driving from Goondiwindi to Ballina, back in 2016, and I remember that stretch of road between Tenterfield and Lismore being one of the scariest stretches of road I have ever driven on, and ironically my father's funeral was held on Shannon's birthday that year -

  1. That story sucks.

Talking about fate, it's only a couple of weeks ago that I noticed that exactly three years ago Paul McCartney released an album. In typical time-reversed synch fashion, I first started with the feeling that 18th Dec was a synch date, then checked out some of Paul's songs on YouTube, and that's when I noticed the album date. Classic clueless Maria moment, seeing a world-class synch last.

Anyway, I thought it would be a good time to establish what that was about, for those interested in synchronicities. I posted it in the alt.music.beatles group.

Chris' post on the Secret Sun blog about the Sybil War looks like him in fine form. Though I don't know why bother making that movie. I don't see what difference it could make, if it ever came to that. But I guess I'll have to watch it to see if after watching it I still think the same.

I wonder if J Steve Kane is making a reference to coral anniversaries in his blog?

  2. Is that a www.reddit.com group when you refer to the alt.music.beatles group, Maria?
I haven't been following Paul McCartney's stuff much, even though I'm a bit of a Beatles fan (mainly because of the dead members of the group ... who were my favs)
I could have gone to Paul's Brisbane concert a few months back, but just couldn't be bothered to fork out the money.
I didn't even realize Paul had remarried until I read his Wikipedia page just now.
And I call myself bit of a Beatles fan?
    Shame on me :-)
