What’s The Meaning of Seeing an Owl in Daylight?🦉🌞

I've been reading and seeing a lot of Dick lately (I'm straight, by the way:-), and was intrigued to find out his last book was going to be called 'The Owl in Daylight' but Dick passed away while writing it.
Ironically, the owl is often an archetype associated with death, as The Owl Guy would tell you -

"Dick viewed the novel as his Finnegans Wake" according to the unwritten book's Wikipedia page.
