Before I watched Terrence Malick's movie 'Knight of Cups' yesterday I did a podcast search for episodes discussing Malick's movies and found an interesting episode af 'The Actor and the Engineer' podcast talking about three of Malick's movies including the one I watched yesterday.
I found listening to this 2017 Malick podcast episode above rather synchromystic, because Jordan Peele is mentioned at the start of that 2017 podcast when these guys are talking about Hollywood hiring and firing directors, and whether Peele would be good at directing a 'Star Wars' movie:-)
The funny thing is that the latest podcast episode at the 'Actor and the Engineer' podcast site is about Peele's movie 'NOPE' which I wrote about in my last post linking the actor Michael Wincott to both films -
Let's Appreciate the Artwork🎨of🐎Don Quixote and the Knight of Cups Together … NOPE?I can't help thinking that Jordan Peele was inspired by 'Knight of Cups' in making 'NOPE' with Malick's quest for that perfect IMAX like shot and his similar theme of a fool's journey through the playgrounds of LA and Vegas in 'Knight of Cups'?-)
