I saw the news of the passing Louis Gossett Jr. and looked up his IMDB page to see what movies he had starred in over the years, apart from the obvious, and saw he voices a character in the upcoming animated film 'IF' (Imaginary Friends), which also stars Ryan Reynolds the part owner of Wrexham FC (AKA The Red Dragons), who was born in the Year of the Dragon ironically, with Louis Gossett Jr. passing away in the Year of the Dragon this year.
π²Enter the 2024 Dragon?πHumans love telling each other stories to the point most people don't know what to believe anymore.
Ryan Reynolds' Wrexham FC Could Be Playing in the Big Leagues in 2024, the Year of the Dragon?π⚽π²
According to Louis' Wikipedia page, he passed away on Good Friday this year, which is the start of Easter, which some would debate is the weekend for IFs, bigtime>;-)
Oscar-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. dead at 87 |
I guess we all need something to believe in, as we pass through this unbelievable lifetime>;-)
I hadn't heard of "If", though tv series "Supernatural" did a excellent episode about "Guardians", "Pookahs", etc... Gosset did some great work with James Garner over the years, as well as a memorable role in Hal Ashby's first movie, "The Landlord". Speaking of Sainte-Marie, I was immediately reminded how Canadian Neil Young was labeled "Indian" during his Buffalo Springfield days!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are still hanging around Dan.
DeleteCheers.
Darren, having only heard of "Jo Jo Rabbit", someone certainly piped Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom" thru ( no relation) Paul Thomas Anderson of "Magnolia" fame! Speaking of Paul, his father Ernie was the famous "Ghoulardi" of Cleveland, Ohio tv legend! Blowing up models with fireworks and being a beatnik character with witty banter during horror movies...ahead of my time, but well known! Cheers!
