National Scavenger Hunt and Brother's Day?🦉👽💰🤑

The last time I went on a Scavenger Hunt was in Denver when my son was leading me all around the outer suburbs of Denver to find a geocache site with his phone.

beyond
the crossing
Ironically, the geocache was under a NO DUMPING $900 FINE sign:-)
The geocache site my son was after:-)
My son took me all the way out here because he read this area outside
Denver had the best views of the Rocky Mountains around the Denver area (which was probably true) but I thought his plan that day might have been to walk me to death;-)

It sure was a beautiful day
that day in Colorado, although rather cool for an Aussie like me who's not really made for minus 0 degrees Celsius days.
My son on his path to get Rocky Mountain high;-)
My son ended up closer to the Rocky Mountains that day than I did, as I stopped at the top of this street for a breather while he walked on to get better photos of the mountains.
We basically walked all the streets surrounding this school
My sinuses were killing me in Colorado, as I'm not used to the altitude and every morning in Denver I woke up with blood in my nostrils, joking to my son that I think I'm being abducted by aliens:-)
Save the Rhino Day?🦏🎨🎭
Ironically, I had bought an Area 51 fridge magnet with a grey alien pictured on it at the Las Vegas airport before flying to Denver and that was the last time I ever saw it, because when I got home to Australia it had gone missing.
Leaving Las Vegas ... For Denver?🎰🌄🎲
Which in hindsight is weird considering that in this geocache site was a purple snowboarding alien and a 24-year sober AA coin:-)
Which my son let me keep as a memento of our walk that day, and I now have in front of me on my computer desk.
My Alcoholics Anonymous coin ... which is not mine:-)
Maybe that's my son's hint to me that I should cut down on my drinking ... and stop getting abducted by aliens;-)
Ironically, the first
geocache memento my son let me keep when I first went hunting with him, was an owl trinket that I still have hanging to my left on my computer desk shelf, so maybe the universe is trying to tell me something?-)

One thing I noticed on my walk was the amount of miniature alcohol bottles discarded along the footpaths and roadsides in this area.
If I had a dollar for every bottle I saw on our walk, I'm sure it would have paid for our trip to America.
I don't know why all these bottles reminded me of Kenny's Dad from South Park?
Maybe because we were going to visit the South Park owner's restaurant that afternoon/night?
But that's for a future post.
Scavenger Hunt (1979)
I've never heard of the movie 'Scavenger Hunt' so I'll have to try and hunt it down on a streaming service and watch it today:-)
It's also the anniversary of my older brother's passing today.
