When I was in LA lining up to see a double feature at The New Beverly cinema, I saw a (kill)billboard;-) for a new movie called 'The Electric State'.
Then when I got back to Australia, I saw this news article below about how expensive the budget for the Netflix produced movie was, so I had to watch it.

We were there to see (well my son was more than me) 'The Philadelphia Story' and 'Sylvia Scarlett', because this is the cinema owned by QT and my son is a real big fan of his movies.
I ended up falling asleep through both of them, but I enjoyed the cinema experience ... while I was awake.
I haven't read the book that 'The Electric State' was based on, and I don't plan to read it, but it sounds like the movie makers pulled a Kubrick on the author to me.I did find certain scenes from the Netflix movie personally entertaining, such as the AI marching across the Golden Gate Bridge, as I walked across it on my first day in America.
And we tried to order an AI driverless car to take as across the bridge, but they were restricted to the CBD area of the city apparently.
We still ordered one to drive us back to our motel room that night from a 'Survivor' party at a San Francisco bar:-)
Carpe Diem Day: Do Something Out of the Ordinary? ππ«πSo, what rating would I give the movie 'The Electric State'? A big yawn:-O
I couldn't see that movie ever playing on The New Beverly Cinema screen while QT is the owner.
