Synchromysticism

" Synchromysticism:
The art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance."

The Spirit of Hemingway, Storytelling ... and Acting?

I just watched the 2012 movie 'Hemingway & Gellhorn' on the Binge streaming channel, where Nicole Kidman plays Martha Gellhorn and it kind of struck me just how many real life people Nicole has portrayed in her movies.
Life and art are strange bedfellows I think, as it's one thing to play a fictional character like Alice Harford in 'Eyes Wide Shut', than to play a real-life character like Martha Gellhorn.
Although I would bet my bottom dollar that Kubrick wanted the real-life Hollywood married couple at the time for those two fictional characters in his movie.
I've been waiting for the movie to be made that Hilary Hemingway helped to write about her famous writer relative, but it seems to be in limbo right now.
I wrote a recent post about listening to a podcast where Hilary talks about her famous family, as well as her own life -
The Mystical Underground: Hilary Hemingway: The Spirit Of Hemingway
I can't help thinking that it's much like grabbing a piece of the elephant in the room and trying to tell people what that elephant means to you when we talk or write about real people.
Even if someone writes a story about their own life to tell you about themselves, it will always be mostly about a fictional character, because whose version of your life is going to be right anyway
I wonder who will play Nicole Kidman when they make a movie about her life?-)
I see Clive Owen, who played Hemingway to Nicole's Gellhorn, is now playing William Jefferson Clinton in 'American Crime Story':-)
The truth is out there ... somewhere?
Well, that's what I want to believe anyway:-)
Is Grace Fraser the True Siren Archetype in 'The Undoing'?-)

Surviving 2020 ... and Eventually Death?

I just listened to the
Dreamland Podcast’s Year End Special featuring Leslie Kean talking about her book 'Surviving Death' and I'm interested to watch the Netflix series of the same name coming out in the new year.
I can't say I share the same enthusiasm to read Whitley's new Jesus book though, and I doubt I will be reading it.
Call me stupid then:-)
I've got nothing against seeking Jesus, if that's your thing, but it's not really my thing, even though I am a member of a Christian church.
If "God" made everything, then "God" is in everything, as far as I'm concerned, so you are always in communion with "God" no matter what man-made dogma would try to have you believe, I think.
It's Not the Number of Moments That Make Up Life ...?
I also see that Netflix has a show called 'Death to 2020', as if all the troubles of 2020 are suddenly going to disappear come midnight December 31st, 2020.
Well, maybe January 2021 will make a lot of people feel like one monkey is off their backs, but I don't see 2021 being a year holding much more promise than 2020 did.
Probably not such good advice to the guy pictured below?-)
But then again, I'm just a fool like everybody else on the spiritual path, if there is a path that is;-)
I'm like the lady in the Netflix 'Surviving Death' trailer when she says, "I think I'll be asking questions until the day I die ... again":-)

SIGNS That I'm Not Going Crazy?

I just watched
David Plate's synch-up between 'Nehedar's album 'High Tide' and one of my favourite movies
'Jeff, Who Lives at Home', which was first brought to my attention years ago by Jake Kotze.
You can watch David's video at this link below -
Not Going Crazy
Ironically, I see on the movies' IMDB home page that it was released in the UK on my ex-wife's birthday of May 11th.
And Ironically, I got to name our first born Kevin.
You can hear David Plate and Emilia Cataldo of 'Nehedar' ... along with synch "expert" Alan Green discuss David's video/soundtrack in a 2 part 'Always Record' episode here.
Although I would give part two a miss if I were you, because it's just mainly Alan Green shooting his foul mouth off while standing on top of his political soapbox.
Do you kiss your mother with that f*ckin' mouth Alan?
The Philosophy of a Hidden Experience?
Kevin WHO?-)
I like Rae Dawn Chong as an actress and a person, so I was bummed out that her TV pilot never got picked up by a major TV network a few years back.
I thought it was money well spent on my part.
Synchronize: Episode 01: Another Dawn
Andras Jones, Radio8Ball, Owls and Synchromagic?
I like how 'Jeff, Who Lives at Home' starts off with Jeff talking about the movie 'Signs', as I won 'Signs' pack when the movie was released on DVD in Australia, which included a wristwatch which I wrote about in this recent post -
It's Not the Number of Moments That Make Up Life ...?
