Sleeping With Sirens & Miley Cyrus?

Beware the smiley siren
I was working on a post about 'Song to the Siren' a few weeks back and wondered if Miley Cyrus had ever done a cover version of the song.
"Sirens of the Sea" World and Coasting with Archetypes?
All I could find was a mash-up of her singing 'If You Can't Hang In The U.S.A.' with 'Sleeping with Sirens'.
But then I saw this news story about Miley shopping at the 'Spell and The Gypsy Collective'
Back Down Under
Which was ironic, because at the time I was researching that post Miley was hanging in Australia down the road from the Gold Coast in Byron Bay.
The weird thing was that when I went to the 'Spell and The Gypsy Collective' site I found a photo shoot titled 'Siren Song' featuring a gorges young lady with a bambi and kabbalah string tattoo.
Check out the great photo-shoot in Portugal at this link below -
SIREN SONG
Turns out the Bambi tattoo is because the young lady's name is Bambi Northwood-Blyth.
Bambi's bambi and kabbalah string tattoo
My tattoo
When I got my 'If I'm ever on life support unplug me' tattoo a few years back down in Byron Bay
Life Support?
I had thought about getting a tattoo like Bambi's red string around my wrist like the red lines on my tattoo pictured above, but I figured that it wouldn't be a piece of string then, so what's the point?
I've actually never seen anyone with a kabbalah string tattoo until I saw Bambi's in the Siren photo shoot.
And I had no idea who Bambi Northwood-Blyth was when I saw the Siren photo shoot until I did some internet searches and found this news story below -
And who should be in the Daily Mail header?
Don't worry Bambi, because as they say, "there are plenty more fish in the ocean".
But I say, "just keep swimming!"
Because who needs 'em?-)

  2. It's just a tongue-in-cheek piece (sort of) examining the archetypal waters of the siren themes in the pop cultural world that's swimming around, sometimes with quite tragic results as with Tim Buckley's 'Song to the Siren', which Chris Knowles at 'The Secret Sun' blog has been putting under the microscope.
The siren energy seems to be bad news for males more than females from what I have seen in hindsight.
