Stone & Wood Sellout to the Bigger World?
It reminded me of the two neighbours who met each other for the first time ever on a brewery tour I was on at the Stone & Wood brewery in Byron Bay that day -

The Small World Theory Proves Itself Once Again?
When I had asked the couple who had been on a bike ride from Cairns to Byron Bay and were heading to Sydney where abouts in England they were from, they told me the town of Stanbury, which was in Bronte Country.
The Lickety History Podcast: The Bronte Sisters |
I asked them what Bronte Country was and they told me it was where the Bronte Sisters grew up and wrote their books.
I had heard of the sisters, but had never read their books, or even seen the movies made from the books.
I still haven't read or watched any Bronte Sister's books or movies, but I have listened to quite a few podcasts featuring stories of the Bronte Sisters, which I have found quite interesting.
I like how Patti Smith says how she wrote a song called 'Helen Burns' with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers about the little girl befriended by Jane Eyre, as Flea's favourite book is 'Jane Eyre' written by Charlotte Brontë, according to Patti.
It's amazing what you find out on a brewery tour and I have to thank my English friends for educating me about the Bronte Sisters and their lives over a few drinks in Byron Bay that day.
But when the other English couple sitting at our table heard the name Stanbury their ears pricked up and asked the other couple if they had just said they were from Stanbury.
Turned out they lived on farms right behind one another in the town but had never met each other until after a brewery tour on the other side of the world in Australia.
What are the odds I say?

Patti Smith: The Brontë Sisters |
On a weird note, the only time I have ever seen Patti Smith play live was in 2017 at the Byron Bay Bluesfest, which I wrote about in this old post -
