Don't Quit?

I was reading Charles Bukowski's Come On In! anthology of poems when I realized  that the bookmark I had been using could have been used against me if I was a smoker who was trying to quit smoking while reading this book.
It just goes to show that even a positive poem like this can be used against you under the right circumstances.
Lucky for me that I don't smoke at all, I guess?
Now where's my book on giving up playing the lotto?-)

  1. Very apt at the moment!

I read years ago that the word "don't" should never be used in an auto-suggestion or affirmation.

  2. I've read that as well.
The subconscious only registers the word quit, not the word don't.
    Good point,Mike.
