Australia Nudges Switzerland Off Top of Global Median Wealth List?

Star Casino on Wednesday

Chart of the day: Australia nudges Switzerland off top of global median wealth list
"It might not feel like it to a lot of Australians, but we have just overtaken Switzerland as the wealthiest people in the world.
In its Global Wealth Report 2018, Credit Suisse puts the median adult wealth of Australians at $US191,453 ($264,903).
That means half of Australians are wealthier than that, and half are not.
Credit Suisse says the typical Australian's position is thanks to high average wealth — courtesy of our compulsory superannuation system and high property prices — combined with relatively low wealth inequality.

The ticket that I was reissued with for the concert
David Byrne using his brain on stage Wednesday night;-)
I was given seat 237 on the night oddly enough:-)
I read that news story about Australia becoming the #1 country on the global median wealth list this morning, which struck me as a little ironic after just seeing David Byrne's 'American Utopia' concert on Australia's Gold Coast on Wednesday night.

The original ticket I purchased and
seat that I picked for the show
It was a surreal night last Wednesday in more ways than one for me when seeing a singer whose songs have made up a large part of my life's soundtrack over the years.
I bought my ticket in July, 2018, choosing the seat I wanted to sit in, but a few weeks out from the concert the GCCEC rang me up to say they were changing the seating plan for the concert and the seat I bought was no longer available and they were going to have to reissue my ticket.
I asked where I'd be sitting now and they told me it would be a much better seat, but I didn't get to choose the seat, they just gave me one.
And that seat was numbered 237 weirdly enough, since I'm a huge Kubrick fan and 237 is a number most Kubrick fans would be familiar with.

The support act was Kimbra, someone I used to know?-)
Kimbra is a very talented singer, but it's not my kind of music.
But who doesn't like her duet with Gotye she did years ago?
I parked my car on D way out of the Star Casino;-)
After a great night out in Australia's playground I had to hit the road back to home.
Meet you at the crossroads maybe, hey Gordo?-)
