"The pen is mightier than the sword" is a metonymic adage, created by English author Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839, indicating that the written word is more effective than violence as a means of social or political change.
Under some interpretations, written communication can refer to administrative power or an independent news media.
Hearing Chris Knowles talk about Lytton reminded me of the name of a Brisbane suburb and historic fort named Lytton (we Aussies pronounce the name as "Litton" not "Lighton" like Chris does in his SS video).

I only watched the 2008 'Superhero Movie' on Netflix last night because I had discovered that Wendy Walsh had a bit part in the movie -

Watching 'Superhero Movie' from a 2022 perspective is certainly synchromystically eerie in hindsight.
