My Life Of Pi

I'm half way through reading The Life Of Pi at the moment, and I want to get it read before I see the film on the weekend with my son.
Brings back memories of my youth where I too came face to face with a tiger.
Luckily for me though my tiger was behind bars in the
Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney;-)
If it wasn't for those steel bars I wouldn't
be here telling this story today;-)
I was too short to come face to
face with the giraffe though.
And then I came face to face with more cats that same night -
Ah the memories;-)
In the book it says Pi survived 227 days at sea, which got me to thinking about Jessica Watson who spent 210 days by herself at sea, without the friendship of a tiger to keep her company.
Byron Bay Writers Festival 2012
And she finished her journey in Sydney, where I had my tiger encounter ... although she probably wasn't even born then.
I've watched Jessica's DVD, but I'm yet to read her book.
I promise I'll read it right after Life Of Pi though.

UPDATE: 6th Jan, 2013
I see casting has already started for the Jessica Watson movie,

  2. The movie is stunning! We saw it in 3D, which I recommend. Can't wait to hear about your tiger encounter.
