HeART Felt Art?

Flood emergency for visual arts
I've had the above photo of the handheld heart in Lismore as my computer desktop background to remind me how lucky I am my home only received minor cosmetic damage since the last major flood event in that town caused havoc (even though my scumbag insurance company won't pay out to cover my roof damage), and then yesterday I saw the photo at the top of this post where the Lismore streets were once again flooded.
I guess that piece of art really does sum up the Lismore/Northern New South Wales spirit.

Total Control?

I saw the above article in the March 4th, 2022 Courier Mail where Missy Higgins talks about the release of her new-mini album 'Total Control' and her faith in the future in the world her 3-year-old daughter has to grow up in.
I haven't seen Missy sing live since her son was just a lump in her belly -

This is the same March 4th, 2022 newspaper I wrote about in my post about the day Shane Warne passed away on -
The same March 4th, 2022 newspaper
When I first read the Missy Higgins article a day after the newspaper was printed, I wondered if she would from then on think her 'Total Control' album was released the day Shane Warne died?
The same March 4th, 2022 newspaper
The bizarre thing is I found a podcast that was recorded the day Shane passed away but uploaded over a week later, which featured Missy Higgins and actor Stephen Curry where they make fun of Australians named "Shane":-p
I've also written a post ages ago where I made fun of Stephen's last name -

Madga on the phone on the 'Australia Unites' flood appeal
I first saw Missy sing her new song 'Total Control' on TV on the 'Australia Unites' flood appeal on the 12th of March, 2022 and on the 16th of March I wrote a post about flood appeals that were going to take place on March 17th to raise money for flood victims in Northern New South Wales.
As I was writing that post, I had been watching Missy Higgins sing 'Total Control' on You Tube, then I re-watched the video of Guy interviewing Bill Bennett about the PGS movie, and at the 9 minute mark of that video Bill talks about control and giving up the thought of controlling life situations, and there on the side bar was a link to Missy's 'Total Control' You Tube:-)
I've never watched any of the ABC TV series 'Total Control' which Missy wrote the songs for, but I did notice the series stars some familiar actresses from some of my favourite P.J. Hogan movies like 'MENTAL' and 'Muriel's Wedding':-)
And I see that PJ turns 60 this year making him a Water Tiger, just like Steve Irwin:-)
The FLOWMAN (Seth Green) Was Born in the Year of the Wood Tiger?
Kind of makes TC (Toni Collette) the common denominator between the two films I think:-)
March 4th?-)
The same March 4th, 2022 newspaper
I guess just like Missy, mothers always fear for the future of their daughters (and sons) and when I saw an advert for a Caravan & Outdoor Expo in the March 4th, 2022 newspaper under the little girl holding the umbrella it reminded me of a podcast I wrote about in this recent post about being on the road with kids and going with the flow of your life -

And as much as we would like to think we have or would like "total control" over our lives, we have anything but, I think.

What Comes First, the Sound Effect or the "Slap"?-)

Will Smith apologised to the Academy
in his acceptance speech
If you are going to pull a fake news Oscar story (and a slap) at least have the sound-effect happen after the slap happening, and not before.
Nice try Oscars PR department, and nice win Will.
So, does this all go to prove that PAPER beats ROCK over
SCISSORS?-)

These Days and Black Ol' Secret Suns?

I was sitting on this post until I saw what my old mate Chris Knowles at 'The Secret Sun' blog was going to predictably write about the passing of the Foo Fighters' drummer so close to the release of the Studio 666 trailer spoof:-)
I can't say that I know much about the 'Foo Fighters' music, as I was never a fan of Grunge to be honest, but when I saw the news about Taylor Hawkins I looked up a few of their music clips and was surprised to see a song called 'These Days' with my first thought thinking this was a 'Powderfinger' cover until I clicked play and found out it wasn't the 'These Days' I had planned on hearing, which was written for the 'Two Hands' movie soundtrack ... that's the movie that starred Heath Ledger I might add for Chris at the 'Secret Sun';-)
Apparently the 'Foo Fighters' are/were(?) going to play Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on December 10th, 2022, which is exactly 11 years after they played Carrara Stadium on the Gold Coast on December 10th, 2011.
Carrara Stadium Gold Coast Australia
The Gold Coast Suns have played their home games at Carrara since mid-2011.
I should add that the 'GC Suns' were beaten last night at their home ground Carrara by the reigning champions the 'Melbourne Demons':-)
Talk about a darkly ironic dose of synchromystic sun exposure in this post Chris, and you had to bring up my elusive lady Alanis in your paranoid post, but life is mostly ironic as Alanis will tell you and me ... but you learn:-) -

Miley Cyrus breaks down on stage
 over Taylor Hawkins’ death
Here's a better celebrity siren/scapegoat/meme for my ol' mate at 'The Secret Sun' to scare his followers around the ol' Secret Sun campfire while passing the ol' Sun-hat around for donations these days;-)
Miley Cyrus teared up while paying tribute to her late pal
Taylor Hawkins at Lollapalooza Brazil on Saturday.
“We had to make this emergency landing and the first person that I called was Taylor, because he was already at the festival,” Cyrus said of the Foo Fighters drummer, who died on Friday.
Cyrus, 23, was referring to the private plane she took earlier this week. The crew had to make an emergency landing after being struck by lightning en route to the Asunciónico Music Festival in Paraguay. The Foo Fighters headlined the music festival one day prior.
Cyrus has been a fan of the Foo Fighters for years, and became closer with Hawkins when they worked together for their Billy Idol collaboration Night Crawling
The track was featured on Cyrus’ 2021 rock crossover record
Plastic Hearts.
Throw another log on the 'Secret Sun' campfire, hey Chris?-)

A Deep Dive into Fractals and Synchronicity?

Terry Marks-Tarlow PH.D.
I listened to the above 'Connecting with Coincidence' podcast on my iPad when it was released onto Apple Podcasts a few weeks back, but I couldn't follow what the guest was trying to say about fractals and synchronicity, so I decided that maybe I had better watch the guest's visual diagrams that she was demonstrating in the You Tube version of the podcast.
It was still as clear as fractal mud to me I'm afraid.
But I did find it amusing how Bernie was going on about spirals and the cover of his new book having one on it, and that he recorded the podcast episode on the day the 2022 Superbowl was played and he was saying to Terry how he was hoping to catch the end of it after his, what I thought, was a confusing talk about how fractals are tied to synchronicity(?) that in hindsight was won by the LA Rams with the spiral pattern on their helmets:-)
And it's a pity that in the podcast Terry wanted to see the halftime Superbowl show but is informed by Bernie she missed it, because Snoop appeared to be wearing a fractal pattern tracksuit in the LA Rams colours:-)
