Did Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Write the First Story About Chasing a UAP in a Plane ... NOPE?πŸ›ΈπŸ›©

I stumbled upon the 'Classic Ghost Stories Podcast' when I was looking for short stories of Guy de Mauspassant's -
And yesterday I was listening to the short stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at  'Classic Ghost Stories Podcast'  with one of those stories called 'The Horror of the Heights' being about a pilot chasing a living UAP, something similar to the creature out of the movie 'NOPE' in hindsight.
I wonder if ACD's short story inspired Jordan Peele when Peele got the idea for making 'NOPE'?
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was famous for his Sherlock Holmes stories, but he wrote some interesting other stories, too.
Thoth, Writing, Books, Magazines and SubSCRIPTions?
And even some of his Sherlock Holmes stories were a bit woo-woo, too.
His first Sherlock Holmes story 'A Study in Scarlett' was centered around Mormonism, which is probably why there has never been a film or TV show made that is faithful to that story, that I'm aware of at least.
And why 'A Study in Scarlet' is one of the stories missing from the adaptations made starring Jeremy Brett between 1984 and 1994.
I watched 'The Abyss' (special edition) on DVD yesterday and couldn't help thinking that in many ways that story was almost the exact opposite of Doyle's 'The Horror of the Heights' in theme.
Real Risk: Romeo & Juliet on THAT!?
