A Star is Born as Two Stars Die?

Last Thursday I finally got to see the new version of 'A Star is Born' at the Byron Bay Pig-house Flicks cinema.
I tried to catch it three times previously in Brisbane, but the stars just wouldn't line up for me session wise and I had to catch another movie instead.
But last Thursday I had a ticket to see Germaine Greer give a talk down in Byron Bay and decided it would be best to drive down to Byron from Brisbane early and hang around to avoid getting caught in the peak-hour(s) rush on the freeway.
I thought I would head down to Byron Bay in time for lunch and see if any decent movies were playing at the Brewery.

As luck would have it 'A Star is Born' was playing at just the right time for me to watch it and then head to the theatre to see Germaine give her talk.
I mentioned Greer's talk in this post -

I looked across the front row to see a piano was in the theatre
But here is what hit me after seeing the movie ... SPOILER ALERT ... Bradley Cooper's character commits suicide by hanging himself in his garage with his belt while Gaga's character is on tour in Europe.
I thought at the time that surely the scriptwriters of ASiB were aware of the celebrity hangings that have happened since Chris Cornell's death, but apparently the film started shooting the month before Cornell hung himself.

Chester Bennington killed himself on Chris Cornell's birthday by hanging himself also.
I just started watching the TV show 'Westworld'  this week and noticed that the first recognizable song played on a pianola roll in the show halfway through episode one was Soundgarden's 'Black Hole Sun'.

So, to walk out of 'A Star as Born' as the credits were rolling and seeing the piano against the wall of the theatre after I had just started watching 'Westworld' that week, after seeing news that the sets used in 'Westworld' had been burnt down from the fires, I couldn't help but hear 'Black Hole Sun' playing in my head 'Westworld' style.
"Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company, famously said "Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black".
The park founder in Westworld is named Ford.
The park doesn't manufacture cars, but humans."

Lukas Nelson wrote a lot of the songs Bradley Cooper sings in 'A Star is Born' and I ran into Lukas down in Byron Bay this year on April Fool's Day -

  3. WestWorld made me think of Steiner's Ahriman and the eighth sphere....

  4. I haven't really read a lot of Steiner's work and I haven't heard of Ahriman and the eighth sphere.
