Money and Chaos Magick?

Fake news
Hawking died in
March, not May.
Money to burn a black hole in your pocket?
Last month, the British government had announced that the new 50-pound note would also be a polymer design, which is more durable and harder to counterfeit than paper money.

Illusory Magick?
After just having finished reading Gordon White's book 'The Chaos Protocols' I see in my local newspaper on the same page as one of the world's richest pop stars Taylor Swift playing a concert on my favourite AFL team's (Brisbane Lionshome-ground that celebrated physicist Stephen Hawking is one of the front-runners to be featured on the new 50-pound note.

Stephen Hawking died ironically on Pi Day (March 14th), which for a scientist you couldn't really pick a better day to pass away on I would think.

Time for change?!
Maybe Stephen Hawking is a good pick for the 50-pound note for the dark economic times ahead?
And you can bet on it too?

  1. I was hoping for Turing or Ada Lovelace. Dammit. I suppose black holes are too attractive these days... And David Bowie, great as he would look on a banknote, doesn't have the right amount of gravitas, I suppose.

  2. Hawking is only the front-runner to be on the note, it isn't a done deal yet.
And Hawking shares Bowie's birthday of January 8th, too.
Although maybe that should be the other way round as Hawking was five years older than Bowie.

  4. I just started watching 'Westworld' Dennis and noticed that the first recognizable song played on a pianola roll in the show (for me anyway) halfway through that episode one was Soundgarden's 'Black Hole Sun'.
