I stumbled across a podcast by Andy Antao and Travis Marsala where they test syncing albums to movies, which reminded me of something David Plate likes doing over at 'The Sync Book' site -
Dark Side of the Movie
"Join us in our quest to find the perfect combination of movie and album that play together in perfect synchronicity!
Each week we test out different pairings and see how far our minds will go to make meaning out of nonsense."
Maybe David is the guy they are taking about in episode #1?
David Plate: Album/Film Sync Collection
Wouldn't it be cool to have a night club/bar where you could go and watch David's sync-ups?
Or if I had a wide-screen TV with surround sound that I could run these Vimeos through, that would inspire me to watch all of these movies of David's.
That's about the only way I would watch all these movies that David has synced up.
But if you are into the whole Dark Side of Oz thing, then check David's stuff out.
As for the Dark Side of the Movie podcast ... not for me I'm afraid.
Episode #1 was enough, thanks.
I've got enough on my plate already:-)

Will have to take a listen!
ReplyDeleteDavid Plate's stuff is interesting, but the 'Dark Side of the Movie' podcast I couldn't get into.
ReplyDeleteIn all fairness thought I only listened to the first show and that was enough for me.
Maybe the show gets better as the episodes progress, but it sounds all 'shits and giggles' stoner crap to me ... and they aren't even stoned ... or so they say.
