Grief 2 Growth When S#it happens?

A scene from the movie 'Forrest Gump'
I listened to the latest 'Grief 2 Growth' podcast this morning where a father talked about losing his son in a French terrorist attack in Nice, and the father speculated whether his son would have survived the attack if his son wasn't busy scraping the dog doo-doo he had just stepped in off his shoe.
Not to trivialize the tragic event, but I couldn't help thinking of the movie 'Forrest Gump' and all of the tragic, but synchronistic events that happened to people in that movie, and the idea the guy got in that movie when nearly stepping in the dog-doo and coming up with the "SHIT HAPPENS" bumper sticker.
And while I do believe in life after death, I couldn't imagine losing a son or daughter, like Brian and Conrad have and talk about in the You Tube and podcast link below.
Grief 2 Growth Podcast Episode 57: Conrad Leslie - From Bereaved Father to Shining Light Parent
There are no comforting words that can ease the pain of losing a child, but meaningful synchronicities can be of some comfort I believe, as Brian and Conrad seem to believe, as well.
Interesting talk, I thought, as was this recent 'Path 11' podcast below.
