It's kind of dark synchromystic timing that a film dealing with domestic violence themes should be showing on Australian cinema screens at this time, just after the horrific headlines for the past weeks in the Australian press about such matters.
One particularly horrific domestic violence incident, which took place not too many miles away from the suburb I grew up in Brisbane as a youngster.
And then I saw this news story below yesterday about a woman stalking and killing her ex, not far from where Gordon White from the 'Rune Soup' blog lives.

I thought it was interesting that Leigh mentions 'Nightmare on Elm Street 4' being one of his favourite films when he was growing up.

A little of that "equality" we heard so much about in Hollywood these days, to show that some women are just as psychopathic as men when it comes to DV sometimes.
