John Clarke Passes Away One Moon Cycle after 'Footrot Flats' Creator Murray Ball and on the 30 year Anniversary of the Movie's Australian Release

Sad news today is that John Clarke who voiced the character of Wal in the New Zealand animated motion picture 'Footrot Flats' passed away yesterday in Victoria, Australia while on a hike to photograph birds in the Victorian bushland.
Satirist John Clarke, of Clarke and Dawe fame, dies aged 68
John Morrison Clarke

(29 July 1948 – 9 April 2017)
I wrote a post almost a month ago about Murray Ball the creator the 'Footrot Flats' comic and director of the animated film of the same name passing away last month -
Dog Gone It! Murray Ball Has Passed Away One Day Off From a Full Moon
Footrot Flats: The Dog's Tale
Ironically John Clarke by all reports passed away on April 9th, 2017, which was the date of the 30-year anniversary of the 'Footrot Flats' movie's Australian release.
'Footrot Flats' was the first full-length animated feature made by the New Zealand film industry and ironically although Murray Ball was a New Zealander (AKA Kiwi) he was born on January 26th, which is the date Australia Day falls on.
The Melbourne Rebels Super Rugby team
 is on the chopping block
The 'Footrot Flats' movie centers around New Zealand's favourite football code, Rugby Union, which while popular in Australia too, doesn't really match it with the two big football codes
Australian Rules and Rugby League.
John Clarke lived ... and pretty much died in Melbourne, and today in the news it was also announced that the Melbourne Super Rugby Union team maybe gone, too -
ARU puts Western Force, Melbourne Rebels on Super Rugby chopping block
"The futures of Australian Super Rugby clubs Melbourne Rebels and Western Force are on life support, after the ARU today confirmed one of the franchises would be cut at the end of this season.
ARU CEO Bill Pulver and chairman Cameron Clyne made the announcement at a press conference in Sydney today, saying a final decision would be made "within 72 hours"."
The Melbourne Rebels Rugby Union team share AMMI Park with the Melbourne Storm Rugby League team and on the 9th of April the Storm played my team the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in a grand final replay from last year (which the Sharks won) and it was basically played in a real storm that hit AMMI park and the Sharks ran out winners 11 points to 2.
First time in the Storm's history of playing at AMMI Park that a team has kept the Storm tryless according to the Channel Nine commentators.
Sharks see off Storm in terrible conditions in Melbourne
"The Sharks have now won three straight matches, ending the Storm's unbeaten opening to the season in the process."
Seems like a lot of things my have come to an end in Melbourne over the weekend as far as football goes.
It was a rather sad weekend for me personally, apart from my team beating the Storm ... again:-)
As it was the first time my father's birthday (April 8th) past since he passed away last year.
It's also the date his mother (my Nan) passed away on as well.
I also see April 8th was the closest the planet Jupiter (the planet of Joy) will get to the Earth this year.
Why Jupiter is closest on April 8
All I can say is that life and death are certainly bizarre and hearing of John Clarke's passing over the weekend, only a month after Murray Ball passing away, makes it all a bit weirder to me.
Moon follows Jupiter April 11-12
April is the month of
the
Fool, too;-)

Hey
I got a lot of faith in you
I'll stick with you kid
That's the bottom line
Yeah
I have a lot of fun, don't you
And living with you is a ball of a time

Hey beauty
When the mood gets you down
Your bottom lip's near dragging on the ground
That's when I gotta play the clown for you
Black humour
made you kick your blues

Howdy angel
Where did you hide your wings
Her love shines over my horizon
She's a slice of heaven (slice of heaven)
Warm moonlight over my horizon
She's a slice of heaven
(He-he-he-heaven)
