The lady with green hair behind the counter told me that they were experiencing supply problems lately with Guinness.

I told the two ladies behind the counter that I couldn't get any Guinness from the bottle shop from around the corner because they were having supply problems.
They told me it was because of China where the plastic widgets were made.
Then I thought back to the start of my day where I ripped the page off my Chinese calendar and wondered if my dragon under the calendar wasn't holding a widget in the palm of its hand as well;-)
I know Chris just loves St. Patrick's Day, too;-)

Normally on St. Paddy's Day I sit down with a few cans of Guinness and listen to my 'Music of Ireland' CD, but this year I listened to a record I found among the late father's records I was given when he passed away.

It's OK, but just not really my glass of stout you might say.
It's more like music I would listen to if I was a pipe smoker, while sitting on a porch looking out to sea and contemplating life with a tear in my eye.
I was going to give the record away, but maybe I should put it back on the shelf for those melancholy days in the future when perhaps I have taken up pipe smoking and sit staring out to sea wondering why my ship never came in;-)

DeleteStanley just could have changed Room 217 in 'The Shining' to Room 42, instead of Room 237, which probably would have pissed King off even more :-)
