Buddy Franklin Missed Out on Being a Tiger by Just a Couple of Days?

When I read that Lance "Buddy" Franklin kicked his 1000th AFL goal in 2022, the Year of the Tiger and was 35 years old at the time, I thought there was a good chance that if Buddy had his birthday this year, or early next year that he was a Tiger, as this Year being the Year of the Tiger usually means anyone turning an age that can be dived by the number 12 would most probably have been born in the Year of the Tiger.

But it turns out Buddy is a Rabbit, missing out on being a Tiger by a day or two with his birthday being January 30th, 1987.

He will turn 36 in late January, 2023, a few days after the

Year of the Rabbit begins.

Which is ironic that the South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL team beat the Sydney Roosters that night in an upset while Lance kicked his 1000th goal:-)

Let's hope that's not all folks, as far as Buddy's goal tally goes.
