I can't believe Lion Nathan are considering closing down the Boag's hospitality and tour offerings, including the visitor centre, bar and function hire ... and in 2023, the Year of the Rabbit/Cat of all years -

The more than 160-year-old Launceston brewery
 is closing its visitors centre on January 30?

It's enough to drive an Aussie to drink, I think, and the timing is a bit off, since Australia Day in on January 26th and Lion Nathan (who are owned by Kirin, an Asian company) want to close the tour down on January 30th.

Let's hope the Cascade Brewery (owned by Ashai, another Asian company) doesn't get any ideas about closing down their tour from Boag, as one of my highlights when I drove down to Tassie in 2016 was the brewery tours -
