I'm yet to see a movie about Edgar Allan Poe or one of his stories brought to the big ... or small screen that I really thought was really good, except for one PBS documentary.
Edgar Allan Poe: Buried Alive ... and Dirt Cheap?ππ»
I see that Netflix have a movie coming out around the time of Elvis' birthday called 'The Pale Blue Eye' starring Christian Bale and Gillian Anderson very loosely based on Poe's time in the military it seems?
Maybe it's just a nod from Netflix to their blockbuster detective 'Knives Out' franchise and the latest movie in that franchise 'Glass Onion', which I'm yet to watch?
There is debate as to whether Poe was the first mainstream author to write the first detective story, which if you used Hegelian logic the writers and producers off the 'Knives Out' franchise should be grateful for.
But WHO knows, right?
