Kubrick and the Years of the Rabbit?๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ‡

Stanley Kubrick
passed away in 1999, the Year of the Rabbit, the same year that his last film 'Eyes Wide Shut' was released.
Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
Barry Lyndon (1975)
I watched Kubrick's 1975 movie 'Barry Lyndon' yesterday for the first time in many years realizing that 1975 was also the Year of the Rabbit.
Starring Ryan O'Neal as Barry Lyndon
I then realized that out of his last four films, three of them were released in the Year of the Rabbit, with only 'The Shining' being the odd one out.

Alfred Leon Vitali
(26 July 194819 August 2022)
"In 1974 Vitali met Stanley Kubrick, with whom he had a professional relationship for the rest of Kubrick's career. Vitali played Lord Bullingdon in Barry Lyndon, the title character's stepson."
Leon Vitali shared July 26th as a birthday with Stanley Kubrick ... as well as Carl Jung ... coincidently:-)
From '1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die'
"Kubrick showed an interest in Thackeray's Vanity Fair but dropped the project when a serialised version for television was produced. He told an interviewer, "At one time, Vanity Fair interested me as a possible film but, in the end, I decided the story could not be successfully compressed into the relatively short time-span of a feature film ... as soon as I read Barry Lyndon I became very excited about it."
