2019: Wave Good-bye to Plastic ... Bags?

I was amused to see the January 1st. 2019 Queensland newspaper with a story about a thick plastic bag ban in grocery stores and supermarkets, which is probably a good environmental move.

But I couldn't help wondering if those 2019 balloons being held in the surf were biodegradable and if those (potentially drunk/drugged) partygoers weren't just going to let them go out to sea.

And then on the back page we have Rafael Nadal wanting to get the party started wearing cheap plastic party glasses.

Although Rafael's party in the Brisbane tennis tournament never really got started anyway.

 Let's hope we can party through 2019 without wrecking the environment, right Miley?-)

I'll take that as a yes then;-)
