Being Australian I'm not much of a baseball fan, but it struck me yesterday while researching my post about 'The Undoing',

'The X-Files' and 'Our Gods Wear Spandex', that

Chadwick Boseman who played Jackie Robinson in the movie '42' passed away the same year that the Dodgers won the World Series for the first time in 32 years -

But I also watched the bizarre  X-Files episode titled 'The Unnatural' written by David Duchovny this week, where David claims the script was inspired from a story about Joe Bauman playing for the Roswell Rockets baseball team, where David recalled that the famous UFO incident at Roswell happened the same year that

Jackie Robinson broke the colour line.

The number of Fox Mulder's apartment in 'The X-Files' is 42:-)

In that episode of the X-Files an actor named Brain Thompson plays an alien alien bounty hunter who tracks down an alien disguised as a black baseball player named Josh Exley who is playing for a baseball team called the Roswell Grays.

I noticed that Brian Thompson's birthday is on August 28th, which is also the date Chadwick Boseman passed away on.

Which I'm sure Chris Knowles of 'The Secret Sun' blog doesn't need me to point out to him is the day before Liz Fraser's birthday of August 29th:-)

The LA Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay [G?]Rays in the final of the 2020 World Series, too:-)
