I was surprised to see a familiar face when I read, "Longhurst's win compounds a record-breaking year for women, as the Archibald Prize achieved gender parity for the first time in its 100-year history, having come very close (49 per cent) in 2016."

As in 2016 I saw Kate play the Wrest Point Casino with Jon Stevens, Daryl Braithwaite and John Paul Young -

I think I've only played it once since that concert in Hobart, as it isn't really my cup of tea.

I remember being amazed when Kate stopped the show and threatened the security guards that the show would not go on if they didn't let the people at the front of the venue dance to her songs, when they had let them dance during the male performer who was on before Kate.

Kate certainly has some ball ... room presence alright;-)
