Peaches Too

Red Heat?
Russian Meteor
?
Is a storm coming?
I wrote a post on Peaches the other day featuring a song from
The Presidents of the United States of America.
More Peaches?
(I've written two posts on peaches actually)
James and the Giant Peach Syncs
I remembered how my sons used to love that song when they were little kids.
I was wondering when I wrote the post what ever happened to that band as I haven't heard a song of their's for ages.
The Presidents of the United States of America
Well, my son had a morning breakfast show on this morning and I could hear the host of the show talking about
The Presidents of the United States of America.
They happen to be doing a tour of Oz and they are playing a sold out concert in Brisbane this Friday night.
Small world?
Not that I'll be there, but I thought this was a sync, so I looked into what other songs they had in their juke box.
Volcano is what the above song is called, and this clip looks like a fan made clip.
But watching it reminded me of a nagging feeling I got the other day when I was looking for Steve Irwin's movie
Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course for this post -
Manta Ray Feeding Frenzy Caused by Storm
and found this movie instead -
A movie that I don't think I've ever heard of before starring
Jay Leno and Pat Morita (Karate Kid).
When I accidentally came across this movie, I had a feeling that this was no accident and an important piece of this
"there's a storm a coming" feeling I've got.
But I didn't see anything in it that seemed relevant, but today after watching the Volcano song clip things started to click in an ominous synchromystic movie kind of way.
Red heat?
Now, when I was looking at these Storm/ Collision Course syncs the other day I was thinking maybe these syncs are pointing to another meteor strike on the earth somewhere.
Maybe?
But after a few signs today with some syncs I'm starting to think more along the lines of Mt.Fuji erupting suddenly ... or maybe that whole region.
Mt. Fuji, Japan
Why?
Because a lot of crazy stuff is syncing up for me today, and not in a good way.
Why Japan's Mt Fuji is a ticking time bomb
" JAPAN'S Mt Fuji is one of the world's most famous sights - and it could turn into a disaster zone in as little as two years.
What will awake Fuji-san, which has been dormant for 300 years, from its scenic slumber?
It's fairly complicated, but Japanese expert Masaki Kimura expects Fuji could explode by 2015.
The retired professor from Ryukyu University says it should have erupted in 2011, following the Great Tohoku Earthquake from March of that year.
It didn't - but Prof Kimura says there is four-year margin of error for that prediction - running out in two-and-a-bit years.
Experts have been keeping an eagle eye on Fuji since the Tohoku 'quake, and in September, 2011 reported that Fuji's "magma chamber pressure" had risen to 1.6 megapascals. "
A four-year-old male lion
identified as Cous Cous.
As I was putting this post together today, I was including the Steve Irwin film Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course to show how I came across the Jay Leno film Collision Course and to link up to another The Presidents of the United States of America song called Kitty.
Because Jay Leno was in a South Park episode as the voice of Kitty.
and in the Steve Irwin trailer for Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course Irwin goes on about the MGM lion being a pussycat.
Then I see this news story -
"An African lion has attacked and killed an employee of a private wildlife sanctuary in central California.
Lion kills worker at wildlife sanctuary
A four-year-old male lion identified as Cous Cous is pictured on Cat Haven's website."
The blurb at the You Tube site where I found the trailer of
Collision Course said -
" Jay Leno and Pat Morita (Karate Kid) star in this buddy-cop comedy in the vein of Red Heat, 48 Hours, Turner and Hooch (haha..)
Just watched it and was pleasantly surprised. It has that 80's jokesy racism you just can't do anymore and Pat plays along well.
Pretty explosive finale with the funniest game of chicken I've ever seen. "
Featured in this year's Academy
Awards
ceremony in February.
In Red Heat Arnold plays a Russian Cop chasing a criminal around Chicago.
President Obama's city,
Chicago
 44th President of the
United States of America
Seems like a different kind of red heat is on at the moment, too.
North Korea threatens 'pre-emptive' nuclear strike
" North Korea has threatened a "pre-emptive" nuclear strike against the United States and any other aggressors ahead of a United Nations Security Council vote on new sanctions against the isolated state.
A foreign ministry spokesman also warned that a second Korean war was "unavoidable," with both the US and South Korea refusing Pyongyang's demands to cancel a large-scale joint military exercise next week.
"Now that the US is set to light a fuse for a nuclear war, (our) revolutionary armed forces... will exercise the right to a pre-emptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors," the spokesman said in a statement carried by the Korean Central News Agency.
In the past, the North has threatened attacks on US forces in South Korea and also claims to possess long-range missiles capable of carrying a nuclear warhead to the continental US.
The latest threat came two days after the North Korean military announced it would rip up the 1953 armistice agreement ending the Korean War - a move that would theoretically pave the way for a resumption of hostilities.
Tensions have escalated sharply on the Korean peninsula in recent days, ahead of the UN Security Council vote and the annual US-South Korean military exercise scheduled to begin on Monday "
Then I come across this clip from one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's first cinema movies, a documentary on a body building competition he was in against Lou (The Incredible Hulk),
Louis Jude "Lou" Ferrigno.
In the clip the first words by Lou's trainer is Too Hot.
Then Lou's trainer says,
"All the way Louie, you'll never get this chance again".
If you look at the Red Heat trailer you will see Arnold driving a St.Louis bus in a game of chicken with another bus.
You might say that he is on a collision course with the other bus in the streets of Chicago.
Doesn't Belushi sound a little like sushi to you?-)
Then we have this story from Japan tonight on the ABC news site -
Fukushima Workers 'Told to Ignore Radiation Alerts'
" A nuclear worker has told the ABC how he was ordered inside wearing insufficient protective gear to tackle the 2011 Fukushima nuclear plant meltdown.
Just a few days before the second anniversary of the crisis, a picture is emerging of what workers endured at the crippled plant.
In an exclusive interview with the ABC, the man also said two of his ill-equipped colleagues suffered beta-ray burns when they had to wade through radioactive water. "

" Jay had guests sign one of his Harley Davidsons
(the first being Arnold Schwarzenegger),
after which the bike was auctioned off with the money going to help victims of the September 11th attacks. "

Maintaining classic cars and motorcycles is one of Jay's hobbies.
Jay Leno voiced Jay Limo
in the movie Cars

http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0009193/quotes
Is a "seasoned" Monopoly player; likes to play with real money and the "race car" is his favorite playing piece.
One of Jay Leno's first movies was Silver Bears starring
Michael Caine.
I also found this other Sliver Bears clip interestingly enough.
Michael Caine also voiced a car in the movie Cars 2.
If you get a chance to see the movie Cars 2, check out the time on the clocks when they are in Japan.
They are on 8:15, the time the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum - Japanese school kids look at a watch that froze at the exact moment the first atomic bomb was dropped at 8:15 a.m., August 6th, 1945.
8 + 15 = 23.

Jay Leno was born at 2:03am-EST.
Directed by Joel Schumacher
Jay is famous for his collection of motorcycles, two of which were featured in the movie, Batman & Robin (1997).

" The G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra;
they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. "
North Korea Warns of Destruction Over War Drills.
" North Korea has warned the top US military commander in South Korea that he will "ignite a war" if he goes ahead with scheduled military drills next month.
The joint drills will involve tens of thousands of US and South Korean soldiers, sailors and air crew.
North Korea's military delegate to the so-called truce village of Panmunjom, Pak Rim-su, delivered the warning by telephone to General James Thurman.
Mr Pak is reported to have told the US general his troops will meet a "miserable destruction" if they go ahead with military exercises next month.
"If your side ignites a war of aggression by staging the reckless joint military exercises ... at this dangerous time, from that moment your fate will be hung by a thread with every hour," Mr Pak was quoted as saying by the KCNA news agency.
"You had better bear in mind that those igniting a war are destined to meet a miserable destruction." "
Rihanna born 1988 same year
as
Red Heat is released.
1988 was certainly an interesting year just take a look at the top grossing movies for that year -
Most Popular Feature Films Released In 1988
Barack Obama's Chicago House
" Right before Obama was elected to the Senate, he bought this home in Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood for $1.65 million, $300,000 less than the asking price.
It's got 7 baths, is 6,199 square feet, and is on a quarter acre lot.
The house has central cooling, a detached garage, and a fireplace.
The house is estimated by Zillow to cost around $1,884,436 right now. "
23 Houses That Were Once Owned By American Presidents
" A tragic film covering a young boy and his little sister's struggle to survive in Japan during World War II."
" Frank Dux has spent most his life being trained by Tanaka to participate in the Kumite, the ultimate martial arts tournament, where participants are seriously injured, even killed. "
" Rambo's Vietnam commanding officer Colonel Trautman is held hostage in Afghanistan, and its up to Rambo to rescue him. "
"Around the world, the signs of the apocalypse--as outlined in the Book of Revelation--seem to be coming to pass in the wake of a mysterious wanderer.
Father Lucci, the Vatican Emissary assigned to investigate, dismisses the occurrences as natural, but Abby Quinn, a young American woman, has reason to fear they're real--and that the unfolding events may spell disaster for her unborn child.

Evil Angels (original title)

" A mother, whose child was killed in a Dingo attack in outback Northern Territory, Australia, fights to prove her innocence."

Dingo - The Trickster

Yes, I certainly get some bad vibes looking at those
top movies of 88;-)
Emily Browning born in 1988 also
But what got me going down this path was my post on Emily Browning -
Something in the Air About Emily?
and viewing the Pompeii post in the Volcano song clip of
The Presidents of the United States of America
as Emily's next film is about being on a slave ship as Pompeii erupts.
Last days of Pompeii ...
I certainly hope not
;-)
If you listen to the dialogue in the Collision Course trailer you might get the impression that it could easily have been named Red Heat also;-)
Words like firepower, hot on the trail, fry his ass, and scenes with rocket launchers and a guy yelling,"stop that body-bag!" kind of makes you wonder?-)
Leno also voiced 'Fast Tony' a character from
Ice Age -The Meltdown
Woman Falls Down Crevasse on NZ Glacier
"A German woman who fell down a crevasse and broke two limbs while climbing a remote New Zealand glacier has been rescued.
Police say the woman, described as an experienced mountaineer, slipped down a crevasse on the South Island's Fox (trickster ?) Glacier on Thursday afternoon.
Her companion, a doctor, climbed down to secure her safely to the ice face and then raised the alarm. "

Ancient Sea Predator Found Near Eden
" Researchers have discovered the fossil of a giant sea predator that lived 360 million years ago off New South Wales.
The Edenopteron is a new species of lobe fish with boned fins, which were believed to have become legs as the species evolved into a land animal.
A team from the Australian National University discovered the fossil near Eden on the state's south coast.
Dr Gavin Young was part of the team, and says the specimen has several key differences to those found elsewhere in the world.
He says it may have been indigenous to Australia.
Dr Young says researchers are yet to determine how big the creature is, but it could be up to 3.5 metres long.
"The lower jaw, when we dug that out, it's about 48 centimetres long," he said.
"We're looking at about a half-metre-long lower jaw.
"So you imagine that scaled up to a modern animal you might think of something like a crocodile, some large predator." "
And more Red Heat with this story -
China blames the Dalai Lama and the western media for a spate of horric self immolations
"Chinese Government officials have launched a blistering attack on the Dalai Lama and his allies, accusing them of orchestrating the wave of self-immolation suicides in the west of the country. "
In the movie Robots Jay Leno voices the character Fire Hydrant.
Jay plays Jay in the Home Improvement episode -
Brother, Can You Spare a Hot Rod?

Well, I just hope that we are not on a collision course with all of this red heat?-)

  1. Yet another amazing post. I read the first part yesterday, the flames were stoked. I hope this red heat cools from whatever direction. North Korea is a big concern but there are tinder boxes in so many other places.

  2. I think that the big threat is Mt.Fuji erupting myself, but this North Korea thing is a worry from a few angles, not just the obvious angle.
I hope nukes are kept out of the picture from all sides.
Mt Fuji was my main concern when I started this post, not to mention other places that were mentioned in the movies highlighted in the post.
Let's hope it's just all a storm in a teacup and nothing more.

  3. Talking of Mount Fuji erupting... I'm sure we can all remember what happened the last time it erupted in 2005! http://theukuleleblog.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/tokyo-zombie-2005.html
