It turns out that the iconic meme of "Pepe the frog" used by Trump supporters was also, in the minds of many, akin to that of the ancient Egyptian frog deity, Kek, the god of chaos and darkness (as well as of light).
Lachman maintains that some members of the alt-right deliberately invoked this image as a way of inducing synchronicities that would support the Trump victory.
