Are Satanists Just Kidding By Slapping Netflix with a $50 Million Lawsuit for Misusing Their Goat-Head Statue?

Episode four of Sabrina and first
day at her new school
... hmm
Kind of ironic that a show about Satanism, witches and Devil worship is being sued by the Church of Satan, I think.
Especially when in episode three of the show the Devil is suing Sabrina for a breach of contract and takes her to the court of the Dark Lord to be tried.
Might just be one big PR stunt for the Netflix show you would have to wonder ... well I do anyway.
Since I already subscribe to Netflix and Chris Knowles wrote a recent post about the show, I thought I would check it out and see what all of the fuss was about.
Does that mark on her head look familiar?-)
I'm probably seeing something that isn't there right?-)
The writer/s of this show seem to have taken anything considered darkly occult and thrown it all into the cauldron and served it up as all Satanic worship
Everything from Satanism, Devil worship, Thelema to Wicca and in-between.
Which is laughable, but not really all that funny, I think.
While I'm no fan of Fundamentalist Christianity, or even dogmatic Christianity, or any fundamentalist religion for that matter, this show is even a bit too dark for me too (or should that be #MeToo?-).
Considering the age group the show is targeting and the source material it is re-imagining (an Archie comic spin-off) it all seems a bit creepy in a kiddie-fiddling priest kind of way to me.
I am a fan of my hometown girl Miranda Otto, but not in this show.
What were you thinking when taking this role on Miranda $$$$?
Even something for Lovecraft fans it seems?
I guess it will be interesting to see how this court case all Pans out in the end;-)
I hope the producers of this show never get to re-imagine 'Bewitched' or 'I Dream of Jeannie'.

  1. I enjoy your insights here, Brother. Good to hear another take on all this. So much degradation going on, it's enough to turn the stomach.
