While I am a big fan of John Lennon's music, but wouldn't go as far as Gordon in saying "f*ck you John" for writing 'Happy Xmas ... War is Over', I get what Gordon is getting at in the above podcast/You Tube by having to listen to popular Christmas songs in environments you are trapped in ... such as big blue European furniture stores:-)

'Happy Xmas ... ' was recorded over the Halloween weekend between the 28th and 31 October 1971 at the Record Plant East, New York City, so maybe it was meant to be more of a trick than a treat anyway?-)

But now I see Mariah's cringe-worthy Xmas jingle has finally made it to #1 in the UK charts, which I'm sure will have James Packer beating his head into a solid wall in an ultra-violent kind of fashion:-)

Make that 72 years ago, and in the Year of the Rat, too:-)

"On the outskirts of WHOville lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch who plans to ruin Christmas for all of the citizens of the town."

But it is 2020, so WHO knows what's going on, right?-)

And WHO knows what 2021 will bring?

Ron Howard's making '13 Lives' on the Gold Coast in 2021?

I've been on a Ron Howard movie bender since I read in that Queensland 2020 November newspaper above that Ron is directing a movie on Queensland's Gold Coast about the 13 lives trapped in a Thai cave, from a few years back.

And I had no idea that Ron had directed the 2000 movie

'How the Grich Stole Christmas', which is really resonating in a synchromystic way with the events of 2020, don't you think?-)

And in the same addition of that Queensland newspaper was an advert for the Australian airline QANTAS, with a bat on the opposite page?!

QANTAS turned 100 in 2020, and was an airline started in Queensland and the Northern Territory of Australia, hence the Q and NT in the name QANTAS.

Not much to celebrate for the airline this year, and let's not forget that bats were meant to be the cause of this Corona-virus pandemic.

When it rains it pours, even if those last two movies weren't directed by Ron Howard;-)

Reading last Sunday's paper I saw that Delta Goodrem had hit #1 on the Australian Christmas Album Charts beating Michael Buble and Jim's sister Mariah Carey:-)
