HAPPY XMAS (WAR IS OVER [... and COVID VacciNATION's JUST BEGUN?])?

HAPPY XMAS (WAR IS OVER[?]).

Recorded over the Halloween weekend of 1971?!
I'm a big John Lennon fan, if you couldn't tell, but I get sick of hearing 'Happy Xmas (War is Over)' being played around this time every year.
Although, with John being dead for 40 years (he has been dead for as many years as he was alive now) from today, and looking at those lyrics through a 2020 lens (20 + 20 = 40), the words somehow pack a little more punch this year maybe?
