I went to a book talk last night at the 'Avid Reader' bookstore in West End, but I got there early enough to have a look in a store a few doors down from the 'Avid Reader', which I wrote about in my post -

'Ecclectica' is at 163 Boundary Street, West End and the 'Avid Reader' bookstore is at 193 Boundary Street, West End, which I found somewhat amusing, as the only difference in the address of both stores is the 6 and 9:-)

And the 'Ecclectica' store even had a copy of Crowley's 'The Book of Lies' on the shelf, too.

But what really amused me last night was the white metal rabbits all over the shop for sale for $88 a pair in the 'Ecclectica' store.

Whatever Happened to Doreen Virtue?

With both of these stores being located on Boundary Street at West End, I found it amusing that in Doreen's video at the 8:30 minute mark she says the "Jesus" she once knew is nothing like the "Jesus" she knows now, as he ain't a teddy bear Doreen once thought he was, and that this new "Jesus" of Doreen's revelation has fierce "boundaries" for us, since her world has been "turned upside-down".

I was going to buy a pair of white metal rabbits last night from 'Ecclectica', but they were a bit heavy to be lugging around all night with me, and I wasn't sure if the $88 the rabbits would cost me would exceed my credit card limit when I bought some other stuff at 'Avid Reader' that I wanted to get later that night.

I did buy that magic carpet/evil eye wall hanging and a book on the tarot from the store, but I'll have to get the rabbits on my next trip to the store ... God willing, that is;-)

The whole store seemed to be decked out in magic carpets, too.

There was also a model of the Titanic for sale if I had another $445 to spare.
And there was an arm for sale next to the model ship.
Hmm.

Another thing about the metal rabbits being for sale for $88 a pair was that I was listening to the latest 'Rune Soup' podcast about John Dee and the angels said the world would come to an end in 88.

I bought the above pictured CD from the 'Avid Reader' bookstore last night, because I saw that actress Libby Munro sang/recited the title song from the album.

The book talk I was going to that night was for a book launch of the book, 'No Point in Stopping' printed by 'The Tiny Owl Workshop'.

I'll do a follow up post once I've read Samuel's book, but this post is getting a bit long, so I'm stopping right here, contrary to all advice I've been given;-)
