Synchromysticism

The art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance."

The Improbability Principle: What are the Odds?💘♣♢♠

Listening to David Hand in the 'Connecting with Coincidence' podcast that I referred to in my last post about lottery wins and odds -
Just How Random is Life and is There a Hidden Hand at Play?
I couldn't help thinking back to some really freaky events and "coincidences" surrounding lightning strikes both fatal and non-fatal when David brought up the odds of getting struck by lightning.
Especially the post I wrote about a camper getting fatally stuck when camping on Mount Warning/Wollumbin with his girlfriend (who was also stuck, but lived) back in 2016 -
Riders on the Storm?
But it wasn't just about the odds of getting struck by lightning while camping on any old mountain in the world, it was about getting struck on the mountain that was used in the 'Coldplay' song 'Adventure of a Lifetime' while being on the adventure of a lifetime.
Coldplay opened their Australian tour at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium that same day that the tourist was struck by lightning on the top of Mt. Warning.
Now what are those odds, David?
The North West face of Mt. Warning/Wollumbin
I've walked up that mountain a few times, so I'm familiar to what it looks like.
I even contacted Matt Whitecross, who directed the clip and asked him if that was Mount Warning/Wollumbin in the clip.
I wrote, "Wondering if the mountain in, 'Adventure of a Lifetime' was Mt. Warning? I sent pics...".
Mat wrote back telling me, "I found some reference clips from
David Attenborough docs - that's what the animators based it on -so it's definitely possible!".
Does Synchromysticism Sound 'Mental' to You?

Lightning in My Blood/Shamanism and Lightning
But it got me to thinking back to an earlier post of mine involving a radio DJ from Byron Bay getting an indirect hit from a lightning strike and whether I should follow his progress from now on to see if he goes the way of the shaman, or not -

Dr. Bernie Beitman has also interviewed Chris Mackey, the author of the book 'Synchronicity'.
Play the video below to hear that one.
I'm the guy they talk about, who wrote to Bernie about Chris, by the way.
"Synchronicity is the face of a deeper level of inter-connectivity" Tony Vigorito
The book by Morgan Robertson about the ship the Titan and the uncanny mirroring of the sinking of a future ship in real life named the Titanic was brought up in the David Hand podcast with
Bernie Beitman.
"On the afternoon of March 24, 1915, Robertson was found dead in his room at the Alamac Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
He was 53.
It was believed that he died of an overdose of paraldehyde."
Ironically Robertson must have seen life as futile and sunk into depression in Atlantic City and took his own life, while the Titanic also sunk in the Atlantic a few years before.
"Robertson is best known for his short novel Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan, first published in 1898.
This story features an enormous British passenger liner called the SS Titan, which, deemed to be unsinkable, carries an insufficient number of lifeboats.
On a voyage in the month of April, the Titan hits an iceberg and sinks in the North Atlantic, resulting in the loss of almost everyone on board.
There are many remarkable similarities to the real-life disaster of the RMS Titanic.
The book was published 14 years before the actual Titanic, carrying an insufficient number of lifeboats, hit an iceberg on the night of April 14, 1912 and sank in the North Atlantic, killing most of the people on board.
The similarities between the two has lent credibility to conspiracy theories regarding the Titanic."
I hated learning history when I was at school (in fact I just hated school, except for playing sport), but one thing I did learn about history was that dates were important when it came to history.
And when I got into synchronicity years after I left school, I realized that dates were even more important than they were in history class ... if that were possible.
Take April 15th for instance -
Number 96: Another Dark Sport Sync
The Boston Marathon bombing took place on April 15th, as did the Hillsborough disaster and coincidentally on the day of the Boston bombing the owner of the Boston Red Sox also owned the
Liverpool FC.
So, what are the odds on that Mr. Hand?
On a personal note, my younger brother was born on March 24th, so he could have run in the above tragic marathon to celebrate his birthday, which claimed the life of a runner when a tree branch fell on him and killed him ... or he could have spared a thought for Morgan Robertson who killed himself in Atlantic City on the same day.
Some dates just stick in your head for some reason, at least they do in mine.
24 is 42 reversed in a way don't you think?
Not that it means anything though, right?-)
"Jackie Robinson Day is a traditional event which occurs annually in Major League Baseball, commemorating and honoring the day Jackie Robinson made his major league debut.
April 15 was Opening Day in 1947, Robinson's first season in the Major Leagues."
Jake Kotze made a great synchromystic film about the Boston Marathon bombing linking up a lot of those topics above -
ARMED With a DREAM - Peace of Me
I notice that David Hand is rather fond of the story about the archer who paints the target around the arrow after the archer has shot it into something, so the archer never misses with his shots, or at least appears to never miss.
And while I'm sure there are people who try to do that, I think David is kind of missing the mark himself on a lot of so called "coincidences".
Synchronicity, 42 and Owls?
Chapter 12 in the book 'Draw Your Weapons'
Ironically the next post that I was working on is inspired by a paragraph opposite chapter 12, in the book 'Draw Your Weapons' titled 'Paint the Target' -
The Spirit of the Lily and the Lillypilly?
And if I had never listened to Bernie Beitman's podcasts, I would never have heard about Laurence Browne and then I probably would never have met Sarah, or attended her talk.
The Many Faces of COINcidence?
The faces of COINcidences
and chance?-)
So, you do the math;-)
