Deadly US storms cause 'meteotsunami' as severe weather leaves thousands without power and falling trees kill four
"Powerful storms across America’s northeast have claimed at least four lives and caused a weather phenomenon known as a meteotsunami.
An 11-year-old girl and a woman died after being crushed by falling trees in New York state while in their vehicles.
Two people in Connecticut were also killed in separate in accidents when trees fell on their trucks on Tuesday.
Meteorologists said the meteotsunami resulted in water levels fluctuating several hours off the New Jersey coast."

Last month (April), a woman was partially sucked out of a broken plane window in the United States after an engine blew at 32,000 feet.
Passengers scrambled to save the woman from getting sucked out of the window that had been smashed by debris, but she later died.

That plane scene out of 'Sharknado 2' with Kelly OZbourne and Fin Shepard kinda reminds me of another TV show with a Shepard as its main star, although the plane wasn't heading for Oz, but away from it.

And now today I see this news story of a co-pilot sucked half-way out of a plane carrying 119 passengers -

I had watched 'Sharknado 2' on the weekend after having watched 'Sharknado' last week when I wrote about an Australian actor from Hobart who plays an Australian surfer from Hobart in that first movie.

I guess I should warn you now that there will be SPOILERS from now on, if there hasn't already been, that is.

Jason plays an Aussie guy named Baz Hogan in the first movie, obviously a nod to iconic Aussie actor Paul Hogan.

Baz Hogan doesn't get to live past the first one to fight another day unfortunately.

I've noticed since that first 'Sharknado' came out that sharks seem to have a thing for Aussie surfers.

Jason did get to act alongside the late John Heard who played a guy named George in the first 'Sharknado' film, but didn't even make it as far as Jason did in the movie.

Oh, and John Heard was married once to the late Margot Kidder for six days only.

The movie also starts off with an Asian guy drinking shark fin soup in a deal that goes bad.

Kind of synchy though that the first movie is about predators falling from the skies in and around Hollywood and the Hollywood sign gets smashed to bits in that movie.

The end of 'Sharknado 2' shows the Empire State Building's windows lit up with the word FIN, but if you roll past the credits, you'll catch Fin eating a pizza.

Well, I haven't watched 'Sharknado 3' yet, but "A monstrous tornado unleashes ravenous sharks from Washington, D.C., all the way down to Orlando, Florida.".

I should also mention that on the Australian DVD for 'Sharknado' is a national commercial for DVD piracy and in that ad is a guy wearing a Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks shirt (my team) and the Sharks would go on and win their first ever NRL grand final in 2016 under clear skies;-)
